Dried Pears from Argentina

Argentina has a well recognized high quality production area for fresh pears williams variety. This product is focused in big quantities for the fresh table internal consumption, as well as for the export market mainly into Brazil. We have developed over the years, a very nice and unique sun dried pear halves, made from fresh fruit, clean, sound and mature, free of foreign matter and extraneous vegetable matter. The fruit is processed under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in accordance with national standards, FSSC 22000, and the requirements of target markets.

The pear is a good source of soluble fiber, therefore not only acts as a regulator of intestinal function but also helps our body to eliminate cholesterol. It is rich in vitamin C, contain some of vitamin A, great amount of potassium and vitamin E. 

Pears are packed in 10 kg boxes under customer specs, in general with 20-22% moisture and 2000-
3000 PPM’s.

Chile: the best country to grow berries

Chile has a unique favorable weather conditions for growing berries, which Chile has done on wild berries for many decades. Lately, Chile has planted intensively several different berries, such as raspberries, blueberries, cherries and others.
Having this berry industry, Chile has developed the berry exports, going mostly fresh today into several markets, around this fresh export business, the industry for frozen, Juices and dried has also grown. Today we can offer several different frozen berries such as Raspberries (meeker also available), Strawberries (under programs), blueberries, maqui, black berries and other species. We can also offer dried blueberry and cherry.
Europe is today the most important market for Chile, but other Asian countries has started already to ask more and more this product.

FSA is one of the pioneers in Chile, on exporting hand-cracked walnuts, going into the higher
specs, countries such as Switzerland.
Chile walnut production has increased importantly over the last decade, and will reach soon
productions beyond 100.000 MT per year, today at 70.000 MT. With the new productions, Chile will
become an important player now on in-shell, as well as on machine cracked product, beside of the
usual..niche..Chile..has..developed..for..hand..cracked..product.
It’s important to be aware that Chile has always received a premium price recognition, for their lighter
color, and general quality, as well as free from Aflatoxin condition.
Production
As already indicated, we are offering into the market:
- Hand cracked walnuts (mostly extra light, but also light halves and pieces)
- Machine cracked walnuts (80/20 and 70/30, extra light and light halves and pieces)
- In-shell walnuts
